Alicia Kaye, Runner

I spent many months of my 2011 season with an undiagnosed foot injury that Dr. Lewis identified in minutes. His diagnosis finally allowed me to move forward with my recovery and his treatment plan had me running sooner than anticipated. I am happy to be back and racing successfully in 2012.

Alicia Kaye

Professional Triathlete

About 4 games leading up to my championship game in the CFL (Canadian Football League), I notice a sharp pain at the bottom of my right heel. After a couple of evaluations, it was determined that I had Planter Fasciitis. This pain transferred into both heels due to my compensation and constant running. Shortly after my season I met Dr. Lewis; he went over the procedure that he specializes in and informed me on what to do to speed up the recovery process.  I had one treatment, along with corrective orthotics, and in the span of two weeks I was about 75% better. I recommend any and everyone with foot pain to try Dr. Lewis; the proof is in the results.

Active Mom returns to full activity after Ankle ligament and tendon Reconstruction.

My experience has been nothing short of professional, courteous along with his outstanding bedside manner. I had my ankle operated on due to injuring my tendons and ligaments. I have referred 3 people to Dr. J and they have also received the utmost, excellent experience as I did. I not only consider Dr. J an amazing doctor, but I also consider him a friend. – C. Thompson

Businessman with Severe Plantar Fasciitis .

After discussion with Dr. J, it was determined that surgery would be best to correct my problem. The procedure and follow-up went well and I no longer suffer the pain I endured for over 8 months. Throughout the process all of my questions were answered by both Dr. J and his staff. I could not imagine entering my retirement years without the ability to walk without pain and have to curtail any activity I might wish to take part in. – Les B.

Diabetic man with Infected Achilles tendon.

I have had diabetes since 1979. A few years ago I developed neuropathy in my legs and months later an ulcer about my Achilles tendon. After a few months of treatment at a local wound center it still didn’t heal; it became worse and the tendon became severely infected. I was admitted to an Orlando hospital and that is how Dr. J entered my life! His expertise in treating this wound saved my leg. I consider Dr. J a friend and a caring, dedicated doctor. – Bob D.

Competitive water skier returns to skiing again after suffering from chronic ankle injuries.

I have suffered for many years from chronic ankle injuries and instability that became unbearable. Dr. J. recommended ankle arthroscopy surgery. During surgery, Dr. J. also found that my pereonal tendon was torn in half as well. He performed four procedures on me that day! Dr. Lewis did an awesome job. After several months of physical therapy, I was able to go on my annual ski trip to Vail. The surgery, recovery and reahb were exactly how he had described it to me. I must admit when I first found out the extent of my ankle injuries I wondered if I would ever be as active as I was again. But with Dr. J‘s skill and expertise I am able to water ski, run and snow ski again. He has a terrific personality and bedside manner. His staff and office are very friendly and make you feel comfortable and welcomed. I highly recommend him and his staff. – D. Wasche, business analyst, competitive waterskier, snow skier, runner, biker

NCAA Division 1 cross country runner finally able to run again.

I am currently on a scholarship for cross country and track and field at the University of Georgia. Last spring I had to red-shirt my outdoor track and field season because of plantar fasciitis in my right foot. I did everything possible to get healthy but was unable to achieve this even after 3 months of rest. Finally I saw Dr. Lewis who custom fit me with a pair of orthotics. The orthotics “cured” all my foot problems and I have run pain free for 12 months now. Without the treatment or orthotics I would not be where I am today. He is caring and knowledgeable and is willing to do whatever it takes to get you back on your feet. – C. Vogt, college student, elite athlete
